If your patient meets the screening criteria for isolation and further assessment, please 

• Place a facemask on the patient

• Your PPE will include a mask, gloves, and handwashing.

Have a staff member call the 24-hour Missouri Department of Health (MDOH) hotline at 800-392-0272, option 1.

• When the epidemiologic specialist calls back, remind the team to get the provider on the phone for this conversation, which will guide testing and disposition.

• If testing is recommended, the specialist can then speak with the Team Lead to share directions for collection and will coordinate a courier to transport the specimens. 

  • No orders will be placed through Quest.
